Description | As of November 3, 2022, this project is on hold. A timeline for bidding and construction has not been announced. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to procurement@ofcc.ohio.gov with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please) Provide professional architectural and engineering services at the State of Ohio Computer Center (SOCC) for the following: 1. The first phase consists of a 41,261 sq. ft. raised floor office space renovation on the 4th floor to accommodate an open office concept plan. Design drawings of the required interior design are complete and will be provided upon contract award. 1.1. The floor space design consists of 25 collaboration areas (e.g. conference rooms, open area work tables, etc.) to foster team growth amongst the 270 team members. 1.2. Various existing demountable wall systems will be removed and replaced with new demountable wall systems. 1.3. The existing space is currently cooled using Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC). Investigation is required into the benefits of moving to a ducted system for this area. 1.4. Power from existing electrical panels is located under the floor and will be modified to meet the needs of the new space. 1.5. The existing raised floor carpet tiles will be removed and replaced with new raised floor carpet tiles. 1.6. Flexible office furniture will be procured and installed by the owner separately from this project. Electrical power and ethernet cabling to the new office furniture is included in this scope of work. 2. The second phase renovates 18,630 sq. ft. of raised floor office space on the 3rd floor to accommodate a colocation data center concept. Interior designs of the space plan have been approved and will be provided upon contract award. 2.1. Requires data center cooling via approximately twelve new/or relocated computer room air conditioners. The final number of CRAC units required will be determined during design. 2.2. Requires new pairs of power distribution units (PDU) providing redundant power to serve the IT hardware in the newly renovated space fed from the existing PDU switchboard. Final number of PDU's will depend on the final design IT load calculations. 2.3. Requires replacement of existing raised floor carpet tile with raised floor hard surface data center tiles. 2.4. Requires addition of security caging in various areas.
