Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for the Warrior Creek Roadway Repair located in Wilkes County, North Carolina. The project consists of removing a collapsed 24-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culvert from a Warrior Creek Park roadway. The culvert is approximately 25 feet below the surface of the roadway and is approximately 130 linear feet (LF) in length. The project requires a licensed geotechnical engineer to develop an excavation plan for removal of the existing culvert. The Contractor shall replace the existing culvert pipe with a HDPE solid wall pipe SDR 17 that is 24-inch in diameter and approximately 130 LF. Additionally, the following shall be constructed: 1. Clearing and grubbing of roadway embankment 2. Remove and replace asphalt pavement 3. Remove and replace 1-inch diameter PVC waterline 4. Remove and replace 4-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewer pipe 5. Remove timber bollards and replace with timber guardrail 6. New riprap apron on lake side end of new 24-inch RCP culvert This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 21 June 2022. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc.) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.
