Description

York County Government request quotes for the Inspection, Servicing and Maintaining of all Fire Extinguishers. Inspection" is defined as a quick check to ensure that each extinguisher is in its designated place, that it has not been actuated or tampered with, and that there is no obvious physical damage or condition that would interfere with its use or operation. All Facilities to have fire extinguisher locations inspected in the first quarter of the fiscal year, between July 1 to September 30. All Equipment Maintenance Fire Extinguishers will require on-site bi-weekly servicing, allowing extinguisher swap out for serviced vehicles. Inspections on all types of fire extinguishers shall be made at the same time each year. Seals or tamper indicators are broken or missing; those without seals or indicators should be checked for fullness and confirmed by weighing or lifting. Extinguisher has no evidence of physical damage, corrosion, leakage or clogged nozzle. Extinguisher does not have other obvious defects. Maintenance record tag is up-to-date. Extinguishers are in their designated places. There are no obstructions to access or visibility. Pressure gauge readings are in the proper range or position. Operating instructions are legible and facing outward. Questions Deadline: No later than May 24, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Tentative Date of Award: July 1, 2023 This quote will be valid beginning July 1, 2023 until June 30, 2026. York County reserves the right to reject any or all responses, waive any technicalities and select the Vendor who is determined to best meet the needs of the County for this Request.
