Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Southeast Area (SEA), Fruit & Tree Nut Research Laboratory in Byron, GA has a requirement for Security & Privacy Fence Installation (Subject to the Availability of Funds) to be performed in strict accordance with attached Statement of Work (SOW). Scope: 1. Contractor to provide all material, labor and equipment to relocate the existing 8' metal panel security fence 12' from chain link fence. Furnish and install approximately 941' of 8' 18 Gauge Metal Panel Fence using 3" Galvanized Steel Posts and Steel Runners between the two existing fences. Includes welding the steel 2x4 runners and Tek Screws for securing Metal panels. A double gate of same materials must also be installed in the center point of the area. Furnish and install approximately 900' of same fencing materials on both the west and east running ends of the existing fence. All materials will be powder coated to prevent rusting and painted to match existing security fence. 2. Contractor to provide all material, labor, and equipment to install approximately 872' of privacy fencing; 8' H AFS Board on Board Aluminum Privacy Fence details: Height: 96 Inches; Width: 72 inches; Number of Horizontal Rails: 4 Rail, Horizontal Rail Size: 1" x 2" x 1" x .100" wall thickness, Vertical Picket Size: 5" wide x 1/16" wall thickness, 6' W panels and 4" x 4" x 130" line and end post. Post caps are required. The solicitation number is 12405B23R0026. This is being solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238190. The small business size standard is $19M. Site Visit: Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and be escorted by a government representative to confirm locations, dimensions, and conditions of the project before a bid is submitted. The site visit shall be for observing firsthand any conditions relevant to the completion of this project. No consideration will be given to claims based on lack of knowledge of existing conditions, except where contract documents make definite provisions for adjustment in cost or extension due to existing conditions not readily foreseeable.
