| Description | 1. Install a new raw water intake pipe located downstream of the insertion vault, along a new alignment and tying into the existing 36-inch intake pipe near the entrance gate. 2. Provide new magnetic flow metering on the new 36-inch intake pipe. The 36-inch flowmeter will be located in a new underground vault. 3. Fill and abandon unused portions of the existing 36-inch intake pipe from the insertion vault to Pit 12. 4. Fill and abandon the air removal chamber and associated 24-inch piping as well as 42-inch and 36-inch piping located downstream of pit 14. This work is an alternate bid item. |
