Rebid Exterior Renovations to 31 Webster Street

All Bids Rejected The work of this 120 calendar day project consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and supervision required to furnish and install new standing seam metal roof (including design and engineering details) and prepping and painting the entire building, including, but not limited to: demolition of existing roof, signage, lighting and miscellaneous building accessories, patching and repair of glulam beams, removal and replacement of rotted wood members; and performing all associated work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents.. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $130,000. A California Class A contractor's license is required to bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded any contract for the project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a). This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. This contract is subject to prevailing wage provisions, as specified in Document 00100, Invitation to Bid, and Document 00200, Instructions to Bidders, of the Project Manual. For further information pertaining to the pre-Bid conference and Site tours, and for information pertaining to other requirements of this project, including the Port's Non-Discrimina-tion and Small/Local Business Utilization Policy, insurance requirements, and bonds, please refer to Document 00100, Invitation to Bid, of the Project Manual. Any Addenda modifying the Plans and Project Manual will be posted at the same location. Pursuant to Port of Oakland Ordinance No. 4321, the Port of Oakland Standard Contract Provisions (February 2015 edition) are incorporated by reference into Project Manuals issued by the Port for public works construction projects. All other questions pertaining to the Plans and Project Manual should be addressed to the pertinent contact person(s) listed in Document 00100, Invitation to Bid, of the Project Manual. The Port specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the Work.
