Description

This project provides for the project coordination, public involvement, pre-design studies, design, land acquisition, construction, materials testing, construction administration, utility coordination, and all related sitework for an upgrade to the existing Jomax Booster Pump Station, located at Jomax Road and Terramar Blvd. The City is actively working with the City of Glendale on an expansion of the Pyramid Peak Water Treatment Plant (PPWTP), which will provide more water for future growth in northern areas of the City. This project will increase the booster pump capacity at the Jomax Booster Station site to move the additional water where it is needed. Included in this upgrade are new booster pumps, additional electrical capacity and equipment, a new backup generator, and new site piping associated with these improvements. This project will also include modifications to an existing turnout structure from the PPWTP located at 67th Avenue and Jomax Road and pump upgrades at the Sonoran Mountain Ranch Booster Station located at 75th Avenue and Jomax Road to further assist with proper delivery of the new water source. Project Location: Jomax Rd and Terramar Blvd As of April 28, 2021, this project is currently in the FY 2021-2030 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2021. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for summer 2021. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
