RFQ Contractor - Shower House Roof Replacement

This notice is a market research tool to determine the availability of qualified sources. The Kansas City, District Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified Small Business (SB) that primarily perform work under the NAICS classification 237990- "Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction". The applicable size standard is $39.5M. This sources sought notice will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Government Port of Entry (GPE), http://SAM.gov No additional information is provided. There is no bid package or solicitation at this time. Project Location (Geographical Area), Milford Lake, Junction City, Kansas The period of performance has not been identified at this time. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Description of Construction Requirement: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District has a need for metal roof overlays on two (2) existing shower houses with traditional shingles. Curtis Creek Shower House - remove abandoned solar panels and piping, removing (2) inside tanks, replace existing skylights, patch roof damage if needed, replace the fascia boards, square building ends and the complete installation of the metal roofing overlay. West Rolling Hills Shower House - replace existing skylights, patch roof damage if needed, replace the fascia boards, square building ends and the complete installation of the metal roofing overlay. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, supervision, and material necessary to complete the project. Responses should include the following information: 1. Address capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity. 5. Type of business and business size. 6. Joint Venture information, existing and potential, if applicable. 7. Offeror's Bonding Capability: a. Bonding Surety Letter. Offer must provide a letter or other documentation from a surety appearing on the Department of Treasury Circular 570 (list of approved sureties) stating that the Offeror is able to provide a bid bond and obtain Performance and Payment Bonds for a minimum of $2 million. 8. Contractor may submit examples of work done by a subcontractor if that subcontractor intends to enter into a letter of commitment with the contractor. 9. Does your firm have experience in replacing roofs Please provide 1-2 projects where your firm has constructed done roof work in the last 3-5 years (include contract number, agency/customer, duration of the project, dollar value).
