Description

As of December 27th, 2022, project was awarded to RL Reimers in the amount of $496,735.00. Due to the lead times of the equipment construction will probably not start until the summer of 2023. The City of Silverton is seeking bids to replace 2-3 existing blowers with new blowers with variable frequency drives and replace probes and controls for monitoring of pH, dissolved oxygen, ammonia, oxidation reduction potential, and total suspended solids at its Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project includes removal of existing equipment being replaced. If the new blower requires a larger concrete pad for placement work will include construction of a larger concrete pad. The project also has an additive bid to replace a third blower if sufficient funding is available. The Contractor will hire the City's integrator to program the blowers to operate based on dissolved oxygen levels in the basins it receives from the new probes that are installed. The selected contractor will install the new equipment, complete all required electrical connections, and other work necessary to ensure the new equipment is installed and operating correctly. The City may reject any proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all proposals upon a finding of the City if it is in the public interest to do so. All questions related to the project must be directed to the Project Manager no later than October 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Questions must be submitted via e-mail to Bart Stepp at bstepp@silverton.or.us.
