Description

The alley is to be retrofitted to include approximately 1534 sq. ft. of permeable interlocking pavers (PIP). Demolition, removal of the current pavement shall be completed by the City of Wilson at the start of construction. Silt fences and filter socks to control sediment erosion will be installed by the City of Wilson, but the contractor will be responsible for repairing or replacing these measures if necessary. The PIP shall be installed at grade spanning the width and length of the alley between 108 Barnes St. W and 136 Tarboro St. W in Wilson, NC 27893 as shown in Figure 1 (next page) and on the attached plan sheet. Efforts should be made for the PIP to complement the adjacent alley featuring a community-driven beautification project as shown in Figure 2 (see next page). Brick or red concrete pavers are preferred.
