RFP D/B- Municipal Center Solar Installation

The City of New Carrollton is seeking proposals from qualified firms capable of providing services to design and install solar panels and related equipment at its Municipal Center. Section 3 of the Request for Proposal (RFP) contains the detailed Scope of Service. The City of New Carrollton is requesting sealed proposals from qualified companies to provide design, materials, installation, and long-term maintenance services for the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the City's Municipal Center located at 6016 Princess Garden Parkway, New Carrollton, Maryland. The designed system will also include a backup battery power system. The goal of the photovoltaic panels and backup battery power system is to produce 120% of the Municipal Center's annual kWh needs. For the 12-month period ending October 2021, the City Municipal Center generated 201,892 kWh. Copies of utility invoices are available upon request. All questions or requests for clarification regarding this RFP must be received, in writing, via e-mail at afacey@newcarrolltonmd.gov on or before 9:00 a.m. on January 20th, 2023. Answers to all questions will be posted to the City's website no later than 11:00 a.m. on January 27th, 2023. The City encourages all minority, women, and disadvantaged business owners to submit proposals. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to reduce or modify the Scope of Services.
