RFP D/B - Design - Build Services for Fire Substation

Soliciting proposals from design-build firms licensed in the State of South Carolina to provide to provide design consulting, engineering, and construction services for completion of a new Fire Substation for the Town of Clover on undeveloped property owned by the Town. Anticipated size of the station is approximately 4,500 square feet with space for emergency vehicles, office and storage. Cost Range: $400,000 - $500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. SCOPE OF WORK: The Project will be designed and constructed in two phases using the design-build delivery method: Phase One: Performing preconstruction services, preparation of design documents, and permitting information development (30-75% design) such that the selected designbuilder can prepare and provide a project implementation guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposal. Phase Two: Complete design, permitting, construction, and post-construction tasks, including performance testing, and commissioning. (Phase Two GMP may be divided into one or more phases to expedite construction as needed). When developing the GMP and implementing the construction of this project, the designbuilder will be required to obtain competitive bids for construction services, utilize subcontractors prequalified by the design-builder and preapproved by the Owner. All bids will be shared with the owner in their original forms along with compilation spreadsheets.
