Post Hurricane Ian County Park Dune Repairs

BID SECURITY in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany each bid over $35,000. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to cancel the bid, accept or reject any and all bids in whole or in part and to waive any technicality or irregularity. Public Construction Bond Required: Yes, if total award is over $100,000 Pre-Bid Meeting time/location: N/A SCOPE OF WORK: Work under this Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, services, and incidentals necessary to place approved beach compatible sand at Golden Sands Beach Park, Wabasso each Park, Turtle Trail Beach Park, Seagrape Beach Park and Tracking Station Beach Park in order to stabilize eroded dunes following Hurricane Ian. Changing conditions at each Park may lead to the removal of one or more Parks prior to mobilization, or lead to the reduction/increase in cubic yards of beach compatible material identified in the quantities below. Work will be awarded to a single contractor. Beach Park and Project Particulars: 1. R-32 Golden Sands Beach Park Address: 10350 Highway A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963. Beach Access to the Golden Sands project site shall be at the north end of the park; total project length is approximately 800 linear feet. Total sand quantity for the Golden Sands Project is not-to-exceed 1,600 cubic yards. 2. R-40 Wabasso Beach Park Address: 1808 Wabasso Beach Road, Vero Beach, FL 32963. Beach Access to the Wabasso Project site shall be at the north end of the park; total project length is approximately 375 linear feet. Total sand quantity for the Wabasso Project is not-to-exceed 2,100 cubic yards. 3. R-48 Seagrape Trail Beach Access Address: 8462 Highway A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963. Beach Access to the Seagrape Trail Beach Access site shall be at the south end of the park; total project length is approximately 100 linear feet. Total sand quantity for the Seagrape Trail Project is not-to-exceed 550 cubic yards. 4. R-51 Turtle Trail Beach Park Address: 8102 North A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963. Beach Access to the Turtle Trail Project site shall be at the north end of the park; total project length is approximately 100 linear feet. Total sand quantity for the Turtle Trail Project is not-to-exceed 500 cubic yards. 5. R-73 Tracking Station Beach Park Address: 800 46 th Place East, Vero Beach, Florida 32963. Access to the project site will be at the south end of the park and the project length is approximately 950 linear feet. Total sand quantity for the Tracking Station project is not-to-exceed 2,600 cubic yards. In order to comply with Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Emergency Final Order - OGC No. 22-2602 permit and the County's goal of restoring the dunes along the County parks, all work on the beach shall be completed by February 28, 2023.
