HVAC Redundancy at Palm Terrace Assisted Living Facility and Adult Day Care Facility

Provide for the design and installation of equipment necessary to provide for HVAC redundancy at the Tampa Housing Authority Palm Terrace Assisted Living Facility and Adult Day Care located at 5121 Serena Drive, Tampa, FL 33617-4032. The project shall be designed using natural gas fired heat pump (GHP) condensing units coupled with refrigerant to water heat exchangers (AWS). Either the existing chiller system or the proposed GHP/AWS system shall be able to be the primary source of cooling. The proposed equipment shall have the performance and specifications as described in the following sections. The basis of design shall be (6) 15-ton natural gas heat pump condensing units connected via refrigerant line to (6) 15-ton refrigerant to water heat exchangers for a total capacity of 120 tons. The heat exchangers shall be placed on a building chilled water supply manifold and connected to the main chilled water loop with valves in order to provide the ability to choose to either the natural gas chilled water equipment to provide the required chilled water to the facility, or, the existing electric water chiller.
