Description

The City of Daphne will receive bids for Disaster Debris Removal & Disposal Services. The City of Daphne is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All minority business enterprises (MBE) and disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) are encouraged to submit a proposal. No bids will be accepted after the above stated date and time A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama Bank or a Bidder's Bond, payable to City of Daphne, Alabama, for the amount of ten thousand ($10,000) dollars, shall be filed with the proposal, the Bidder's Bond being prepared on the form specified and signed by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. The Contractor must furnish to the City at the time of the signing of the Agreement a certificate of insurance coverage as provided in the Contract Documents. No Bids will be considered unless the Bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified to submit a Bid for this Project in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama. In evaluating Bidders, the City will consider the qualifications of Bidders and may consider the qualifications and experience of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other individuals or entities proposed for those portions of the Work for which the identity of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other individuals or entities must be submitted as may be provided in the Supplementary Conditions. The City may conduct such investigations as the City deems necessary to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability of Bidders, proposed Subcontractors, Suppliers, individuals, or entities proposed for those portions of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City may disqualify Bidders that have had prior demands placed on a bid bond, payment bond, or performance bond within the last five (5) years prior to the date of this Bid submission. The City may disqualify Bidders that have prior or existing litigation arising from allegations regarding the quality of work performed on any contract within the last five (5) years prior to the date of this Bid submission. If the Contract is to be awarded, the City will award the Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the consent of the City Council of City of Daphne, Alabama
