Description

furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the Sharon Hill Borough 2023 Road Program The scope of work includes milling, base repair as needed and paving of selected streets. Also included is construction of Watts Profile Speed Humps in various locations, in accordance with PADOT Pub 383. Question Deadline 09/26/2023 at 12:00 PM ET All interested parties must submit questions via the web-based system, by the posted deadline for questions. Bidders are not permitted to contact the Borough Engineer or staff directly. The total base bid will consist of the following improvements to the below list of roads. The Borough maintains a busy calendar of events, and the contractor shall be in continuous communication with the Borough Staff and Engineer regarding any sudden changes or requests for road occupancy by utility. Elmwood Avenue (from Sharon Avenue to Calcon Hook Road) 1,650' X 24' 3 Watts Profile Speed Humps along Elmwood Avenue (24' wide) 2 Watts Profile Speed Humps along Garvin Boulevard (38' wide) 2 Watts Profile Speed Humps along Poplar Street (30' wide) Thermoplastic paint at stop bars (12' X 2') (PADOT Approved thermoplastic) 5-inch base coarse 140 tons - 140 TON Superpave PG 64S22, ESAL 0.3 to < 30 Million Base Course at 5" depth. All pavement markings are to be replaced in kind and considered incidental to the bid line items. Add Alternates: Bid Alternate 1 Woodland Avenue (from Sharon Avenue to Calcon Hook Road) 1,585' x 24' 5 inch base coarse 140 tons Superpave PG 64S-22, ESAL 0.3 to < 30 Million Base Course at 5" depth. Mill variable depth (1.5"-3") at curbside and overlay with Superpave PG 64S-22 Wearing Course at 1 1/2 " depth including repairs of failed base pavement to be marked out in the field by the Engineer. Contractor to install a layer of a scratch/ leveling course as required based on field conditions. Replacement of all Pavement Markings in kind, Mobilization, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic and are considered incidental to the contract. All work, including but not limited to, the installation of Watts Profile Speed Humps, installation of Superpave Base Course, Wearing Course and leveling course, related items to be performed in accordance with the approved plans, details, specifications, and PennDOT specifications (Publication 408/2020, as amended) and PennDOT Publication 383. All areas of base repair, subbase replacement, leveling course placement shall be determined by the Engineer based on field conditions.
