Description | The work to be performed under this Contract shall be as per Newport Engineer - ing PC plans. The intent of the project, generally, isto replace asso - ciated steel angles and light gauge tack plates and reinforce the exist - ing structure with new plates. The existing building structural framing shall be wire wheeled, primed, and painted. All non-utilized electrical conduits and lighting to be removed to the panel. The work to be performed under this Contract shall be Bid security in the form of a certi - fied check or money order payable to the Seaview I Ocean Bay Park Garbage District or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder in an amount equal to 10% (ten percent) of the total amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The surety issuing the bid bond shall have a minimum policyholder rating of "A-" as listed in AM Best's Insurance Guide and be licensed to conduct business in the State of New York. per Newport Engineer - ing PC plans. The successful bidder must com - ply with all State and federal stat - utes relating to labor and Workers' Compensation. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any informality or irregularities in a bid received, except with respect to the time lim - itation for submission of bids, and to accept that bid which in itsjudg - ment best serves the interests of the Owner, after all bids have been examined. Each bid shall be firm for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set for submission of bids. Bidders shall execute a con - tract and deliver the required bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) days after the notice of accep - tance of the bid shall constitute a breach of the agreement, and the Owner, at its option, against the bid bond and take such other action as may be deemed in Owner ' s best interest. |
