Description | The "Base Bid Specifications," "Bid Form," "Invitation to Bid," "General Provisions," "Agreement," and W.S.15-1-113 are by reference made a part of the bidding documents and are integral to this invitation to bid. The City of Rawlins reserves the right to accept deviations from the specifications and to waive any and all formalities or technicalities in the bidding in the sole discretion of the City. The City reserves the right to reject all bids or accept any bid, which in its sole and absolute judgment, shall under all circumstances best serve the City's interests. Bidders must use the City Bid Form. All questions concerning this bid should be directed to Jason Sehon at (707) 601-7264. A bid guarantee is required pursuant to W. S.15-1-113(f); each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee, in the form as stated in the General Provisions, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid, to be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages in the event the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to him, fails to enter into the contract within thirty (30) days after it is presented for that purpose or fails to proceed with the performance of the contract. All bids must remain open for forty-five (45) days after the date of opening of the bids as the City may require that time period for acceptance of the winning bid. Pursuant to W.S. 16-6-106 preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state. Resident Wyoming laborers, workmen and mechanics shall be used upon all work in this contract whenever possible as required by the Wyoming Preference Act of 1971, W.S. 16-6-201-206. |
