Water Plant 4 Ground Storage Painting and Repair Project

The project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, scaffolding or other structures and incidentals necessary for repair and rehabilitation of the exterior of an 80,500 gallon steel ground storage tank at Water Treatment Plant #4. The ground storage tank is equipped with a tray aerator and is equipped with aerator screens. The ground storage tank is approximately 64 feet tall with a diameter of 16 feet from 0 feet to 40 feet and a diameter of 8 feet from 40 feet to 64 feet. The work consists of: 1. Media blasting all exterior steel surfaces and associated piping and supports to remove rust and contaminants that would prevent the adhesion of the paint coating. 2. Remove the existing ladder cage and replace corroded exterior ladder standoffs and rungs, repair additional defects as noted. 3. Apply primer coat of Series 90-97 Tenemec-Zinc, stripe coat and second coat of Tnemec Series 1095 Endurashield and a 3rd coat of Tnemec Series 700 Hydroflon for a minimum 7.5 mil DFT. 4. Remove and replace all existing aerator screens with black powder coated 24 mesh, 0.006 gauge Type 304 stainless steel screening. 5. All aerator screen hardware required shall be Type 316 stainless steel.
