Description | PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The referenced project consists of clearing and grubbing the future GAO Terminal site, surcharging the site with borrow material from nearby stockpile, removal of existing and construction of new chain link fence, and installation of cross drain pipe. LOCATED IN: Galliano, LA TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and/orMunicipal and Public Works Construction CONTRACTING AGENCY: Greater Lafourche Port Commission 16829 East Main Street Cut Off, LA 70345 ESTIMATED COST: $ 187,000 (Base Bid) PROPOSAL GUARANTY: 5% of the Amount Bid ENGINEER: GIS Engineering, LLC 197 Elysian Drive Houma, LA 70363 Bids must be submitted on the forms provided by the Owner and must include all of the information required by the bid form. Bid forms are available from the Engineer and will not be issued later than 24 hours prior to the time set for opening the bids. Each bid shall include a proposal guaranty in the amount not less than specified above. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder without discrimination on grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin. Disadvantaged businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids. Refunds will be made upon return of the documents if within ten days after receipt of bids. Contractors have the option to submit their bids electronically or by paper copy. Bid documents are posted on www.centralauctionhouse.com. To view these, download, and receive bid notices by e-mail, you must register with Central Auction House (CAH). For information about the electronic submittal process, contact Ted Fleming with Central Auction House at 225-810-4814. Each bid shall be either hand delivered by the bidder or his agent, or such bid shall be sent by United States Postal Service (USPS) or another express carrier or delivery service, or shall be submitted electronically with Central Auction House (CAH). Bids shall not be accepted or taken, including receiving any hand delivered bids, on days which are recognized as holidays by the United States Postal Service. The mailing address for bids to be delivered by USPS is: GLPC 16829 East Main Street Cut Off, Louisiana 70345 If hand delivery or overnight courier service, the address for delivery is: GLPC 131 East 91st Street Cut Off, Louisiana 70345 No bid received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered. Failure of the U.S. Mail to deliver the bids timely shall not be considered due cause for the scheduled time of the bid opening to be extended. The award of a contract, if awarded, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder whose proposal complies with all requirements prescribed within 45 calendar days after opening proposals. However, when the contract is to be financed by bonds which are required to be sold after receipts of bids, or when the contract is to be financed in whole or part by federal or other funds not available at the time bids are received, the time will not start until receipt of federal and/or state concurrence or concurrence of the other funding source. Award will be within 30 calendar days after the sale of bonds or receipt of concurrence in award from federal and/or state agency or other funding source. The successful bidder will be notified by letter mailed to the address shown in the proposal that the bidder is awarded the contract. The award of a contract for projects financed either partially or entirely with State bonds will be contingent on approval by the State Bond Commission. On projects involving federal funds the award of contract will also be contingent upon concurrence by the appropriate federal agency. On projects involving state funds the award of contract will also be contingent upon concurrence by the appropriate state agency. Bids must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form furnished with the Bidding Documents. A single set of Bidding Documents shall be issued at the cost of reproduction to contractors who are licensed by the Licensing Board of Contractors. This Project shall require a Louisiana Contractors license number for Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and/or Municipal and Public Works.
