Blue Ridge Parkway

The reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Blue Ridge Parkway includes: Heavy 3R (resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation). Light 3R (edge erosion rehabilitation, pavement marking, crack sealing, light pavement patching). Signage and pavement markings improvements for sight distance aimed at enhancing safety. Shoulder stabilization with aggregate topsoil and turf establishment and/or geogrid pavers. Stone curb removal and resetting. Asphalt sidewalk reconstruction at overlook parking areas. Guardrail and stone guardwall repair and reconstruction. Drainage work including but not limited to stone masonry repointing, replacing and adding drainage inlets and culverts, headwall reconstruction, pipe lining or replacement waterway reconditioning and reconstruction Implementation and maintenance of Transportation Management Plan (TMP), temporary traffic control, and permanent traffic control;
