Description

Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for the Mall Transit Station development. The Construction Manager is a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or other legal entity that assumes the risk for construction at the contracted prices as a general contractor and provides consultation to the Town and the design team regarding construction during design development and through the construction and warranty periods. The proposed Mall Transit Station development encompasses a Town owned parcel adjacent to the existing Mall. A parcel will be formed into one subdivision containing a parking structure, a transit station and building. The parking structure will contain approximately 104 parking spaces and a mechanical room for the building above the structure. The development will include realignment of a connector road around the parking structure connecting Upper Brush Creek Rd to Carriage Way and reconfiguration of approximately 40 surface parking stalls. Provision of electric vehicle charging stations will be incorporated in the Parking Structure and transit station. Elevators and stairways will connect the parking garage to the main Mall level and the transit station. The Transit station will provide bus bays for 12 buses and have at grade access to the main Mall level with a pad of roughly 40,600 SF. A structure of roughly 3,000 SF will provide public restrooms, bus driver breakroom, guest service facilities and Transportation Department offices. Heating for the pedestrian sections of the transit deck will be a requirement of the project and possibly include the new roadway. The existing sewer and water lines with their associated existing easements in this area will remain as is.
