As of January 13, 2023, the project has been awarded. Construction is expected to commence in March, 2023, and is expected to take 425 days to be completed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Project includes the construction of a new fire station ("New Station") in accordance with plans and specifications to be included in the bid solicitation documents. The New Station will be two (2) stories consisting of approximately 10,912 square feet, located on City-owned property at 7800 Mount Vernon Rd, currently vacant. The New Station will contain a two (2) bay apparatus storage room with adjacent support areas, decontamination shower, gear wash area, gear storage, equipment storage, living areas, kitchen, conference room, offices, sleeping quarters, restrooms, fitness room, and other associated spaces.
