| Description | The work consists of pedestrian and bicycle improvements along River Bend Drive from Frontera Road to approximately 1,020 feet south of Sunset Road. The current conditions consist primarily of an unimproved parkway. The project is bounded by residential properties, Zach White Elementary School and Braden Aboud Memorial Park. El Paso County Water Improvement District #1 facilities cross the project via Lateral C at Roxbury Drive. An existing 3-72” CMP culvert crosses the project at the White Spur Drain between Turnstone Drive and Sunset Road and is maintained by El Paso Water. The proposed improvements will include an HMAC paved pedestrian path with a length of approximately 1.24 miles complete with new slotted curb, storm sewer, accent lighting, landscaping and an irrigation system. Accent lighting will be included via bollard lighting. Curb ramps will be provided at all intersecting streets. | ||||
