Description

The work under the project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a new well treatment facility (Well No. 1A-R), complete, inclusive of all components as depicted herein the Construction Documents. The scope of work consists of all structural, mechanical, electrical, and related utility appurtenances, for the installation of the new well treatment facility. The treatment facility comprises all well process piping appurtenances (including the weak acid ion exchange system, aeration system, vertical turbine well pump, and vertical turbine clear well pump), yard piping, site improvements, electrical improvements (including generator), natural gas service improvements, sewer/storm improvements, and related appurtenances. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 365 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 425 consecutive calendar days for Final Completion of the work from the issuance of the notice to proceed. A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, must be deposited by the bidder together with a Certificate of Surety evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract.. The successful Bidder will be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. In lieu of a Certificate of Surety, the bidder may submit, at the bid opening, a certified check or cashiers check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq and N.J.A.C. 17:27. In addition bidders must also comply with the following New Jersey Statutes: N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 Affirmative Action Section 1 of P.L.1977, c.33 (N.J.S.A. The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal received and to accept the bid of the lowest responsible bidder as required by N.J.S.A. 40A-11-4.
