Description

The underwater inspection shall be performed on the entire outfall pipe network system and shall include complete, narrated, underwater videos showing and describing all pipe sections, diffusers, stainless steel and identification tags and anchors. While performing the underwater inspection, the contractor will place new numbering tags along the southside of the main trunk line and diffuser legs. Numbering tags will be environmentally friendly, noncorrosive and the ability to withstand total submersion and a salt water environment. Tags will be 3 1/2" long with engraved numbers on both sides of the tag. Numbering starts at the Y for the main trunk line and diffuser legs. All numbers start at number 1 from the Y to the end of each pipe. All tags will be placed on the anchor shaft or on top of each helical anchor nut and secured with 1/2" wide x 32" long x 1/8" thick heavy duty 19 nylon wire ties. All tags on diffuser legs are additionally marked N for north and S for south.
