Description

Landmark Construction would like to invite your firm to participate in bidding this Lease-Leaseback project, for our valued customer Jefferson Union High School District . New steel framed two-story 38,000 square-foot Adult Education Classroom Building with standard and large classrooms, breakout spaces, administration spaces, multipurpose room and associated support spaces. New two-story steel framed 30,000 square-foot District Office with new facilities for Tech/IT, HR, general support services, new training facilities and a boardroom. Sitework to include grading, landscaping, parking lot, on/off site utilities and reconstruction of affected city streets and sidewalks. The Demolition and Mobilization Bid Package is NOT a part of this bid and subcontractors have already been selected. This work is anticipated to start early September 2022. Bid packages will be published via addendum. Some bid packages are subject to Best Value Selection, refer to the bid documents for the evaluation criteria. All bidders must complete the Landmark Bid Form for this project. Questions regarding this bid must be directed to frontdesk@landmarkconst.net . Governing Board of the Jefferson Union High School District has determined that, pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6, all electrical, mechanical or plumbing contractors holding C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46 licenses must be prequalified to be submitted as a first-tier subcontractor ("MEP subcontractor") for all District lease-leaseback projects. Any contractor interested in being prequalified as a MEP subcontractor for the aforementioned District projects must submit fully completed and sealed prequalification forms and financial information ("Prequalification Package") to the District, Attn: Stefanie Phillips, 699 Serramonte Boulevard, Suite #100, Daly City, CA 94015. All Prequalification Packages shall be on the forms provided by the District. Prequalification forms may be downloaded from the District website . The District has a 3% DVBE participation goal in place for this project. DVBEs are encouraged to provide proposals. Landmark is willing to break down work items into economically feasible units to facilitate DVBE participation. We are willing to assist qualified DVBE firms in obtaining bonds, lines of credit and/or insurance. A sample copy of Landmark's subcontract agreement has been provided for your review. Any proposed changes to these documents must be included with your proposal at the time of bid. Successful bidders must execute Landmark's standard subcontract agreement. Fingerprinting is required; please include considerations for this expense. All plans and specification will be distributed electronically, via Landmark's online plan room - no hard copies will be provided. Subcontractor Bonds may be required, but Landmark Construction will pay premiums up to 2% of contract amount. PLEASE NOTE: Any work claimed by the Carpenters Union MUST be performed by signatory firms. This IS NOT a PLA project. This project requires the use of a skilled and trained workforce under Education Code section 17407.5 and Public Contract Code section 2601. Education Code Section 17407.5 requires the use of a skilled and trained workforce, as defined by Public Contract Code section 2601, by subcontractors at every tier, to perform work which falls within an apprenticeable occupation in the building and construction trades.
