Description | Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), which manages and operates portions of the Savannah River Site (SRS) under a Department of Energy (DOE) prime contract, solicits expressions of interest from companies capable of providing Electrical Turn Key Equipment Building. This RFI is issued to assist with finding potential suppliers interested in this solicitation. The SRS is located approximately 15 miles south of Aiken, South Carolina and is 310 contiguous square miles. Scope summary: Electrical Turn Key Equipment Building with the following equipment requirements. The building will be shipped with all the equipment installed inside the building: The electrical building will house the electrical equipment supporting exhaust fans and stack monitoring. It will require a Switchgear which will receive power from a diesel generator 2 Alternative Transfer Switches (ATS). These pieces of equipment will connect a diesel switchgear (standby power) and normal switchgear (normal power) so when power is lost, it will switch to standby power. Each ATS goes to their respective MCC (so 2 MCCs total). Each MCC feeds various loads such as a transformers for lighting panels and some HVAC unit. Preliminary design is 2 transformers, 2 Lighting panels, and 2 HVAC Units (1 for each MCC), but most importantly each MCC will also feed an exhaust fan. The fans do not run simultaneously. They are fed from different MCCs in case one of these upstream devices needs maintenance the other can run and fulfil the redundancy requirement for the fans. There will be a control panel that will have PLC like devices (power supply, input/output devices, etc.) to be used to monitor/control exhaust fans. This control panel will be connected to an existing DCS panel located close-by. There will also be Stack Air Monitoring (SAAM) equipment. A telecom board to provide telephone/network services. A Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) to monitor fire suppression/detection. A fire water closet for the sprinkler system. List of equipment: Switchgear (1) ATS (2) MCC (2) Lighting Panel (2) Transformer (2) HVAC (2) Control Panel with various PLC like devices (1) Fire Control Panel (1) Telecom Board (1) SAAM equipment Sprinkler System Wiring/conduit |
