Description | The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 25885.00 Location: In Aroostook County, project is located: Map ID 1 is in Mapleton, Castle Hill, and Washburn on the Castle Hill Road beginning at the intersection with Route 227 and extending northerly to Route 164. Includes paving shoulders Map ID 2 is in Washburn on Route 164 beginning 0.06 of a mile east of the intersection with School Street and extending northerly to the intersection with the Carson Road. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 3 & 4 is in Castle Hill, Mapleton, & Presque Isle on the Route 227 beginning 0.74 of a mile northeast of the Turner Road and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 163 Including all spurs connecting Route 227 to Route 163. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 5 is in Caribou on the West Gate Road beginning at Route 89 and extending northerly to the intersection with Nebraska Road. Includes milling and paving Bridge# 5625. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 6 is in Limestone on the East Gate Road beginning at Route 89 and extending northerly 0.72 miles. Map ID 7 is in Easton and Presque Isle on Route 10 beginning O .22 of a mile west of the Bangor Road and extending westerly to the intersection with the Conant Road. Includes milling and paving Bridge# 3259 & 2687. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 8 is in Presque Isle and Easton on the Conant Road beginning at the intersection with Route 10 and extending easterly to .03 miles west of the intersection with Station Road. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the Maine DOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - (LCP)Light Capital Paving - Presque Isle Area - Region 5 Bids will be accepted from all bidders. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: the Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening.
