Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District (USACE-Pittsburgh), has a requirement for the milling and overlaying existing asphalt pavement of a parking lot at Morgantown Lock and Dam, 26 Morgantown Lock Road, Morgantown, WV 26501. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all supplies, materials, equipment and labor as necessary to complete the work as specified herein. Morgantown Lock and Dam is located in Monongalia County, WV. The site of the work may be reached from state and local roads and streets. The work shall be completed within 300 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of the proposed work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.This acquisition will be procured as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The anticipated resultant award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible vendors are encouraged to participate. Requests for hard copies of the solicitation will not be honored. Vendors MUST be registered and in active status in the System for Award Management (SAM) BEFORE submitting a quote on this Solicitation. Registration Link: https://www.sam.gov. There is no fee to register or renew registration at SAM.gov. Please be aware that SAM requires a Notarized Statement as part of their registration and renewal process. This process could take more than ten (10) days. The NAICS for this requirement is 238990 -Asphalt paving contractors and the small business size standard is $16.5 Million. VENDORS WHO HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY CONDUCTED BUSINESS WITH USACE-PITTSBURGH: A PowerPoint slide presentation is available which will provide information essential to new contractors to help them navigate the USACE-Pittsburgh quoting process. It will also aid vendors in their decision as to whether or not to quote, as it contains information on what will be required post-award, should an award be made. This includes but is not limited to submittals, timelines, deadlines and milestones, and other necessary paperwork that is required on the part of the vendor. This training is NOT mandatory in order for a particular quote to be considered. Rather, it is solely intended as a means to assist prospective vendors in becoming better prepared to work with USACE-Pittsburgh.
