Annual Requirements Contract for Emergency Carpet Cleaning

The scope of work shall include a one (1) hour response time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Contractor will have a service truck and two workers for the purpose of cleaning spills from clear water or black water and sludge. The Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials and supplies for carpet and upholstery cleaning – city wide - on an on - call basis (as needed, when needed). The services may include: 1. Water/Sludge extraction utilizing industrial equipment capable of producing hot water cleanup. 2. Relocation and moving of furniture to ensure total clean up coverage. 3. Utilization of HEPA filtered equipment during clean up to control airborne contamination. 4. Removal and disposal of applicable wet or soiled padding. 5. Initial application of a disinfecting solution to reduce and contain microorganisms and a secondary application to ensure decontamination. Deodorizing/enzyme treatment of the sub -floor to eliminate all potential hazards. 6. Replacement of tack strip and lock strip as required. 7. Replacement of removed padding with dry new padding. 8. Extraction of water/sludge from other types of flooring (non -carpet areas) 9. Include wipe down of cove base. 10. Proper cleaning and disinfection of non -carpet areas (walls and hard wood floors). 11. Re-lay carpet and make repairs 12. Enzyme treat and clean damaged areas to eliminate potential hazards. 13. Provide an industrial air blower or dehumidifier as required or requested to facilitate the quick and complete drying of affected carpet and areas.
