Professional Services for Ladue Place Sidewalk and Stairs

1. Remove and replace existing sidewalk and stairs. 2. Sidewalk and stairs must meet ADA compliance and IDOT rules and regulations. 3. Detectable warning pads shall be placed at the bottom and top of stairs. Minimum tread depth shall be 11” with a maximum rise of 7”. 4. Sidewalk must be 5’ in width and concrete shall have a minimum thickness of 4” and have a minimum of 4 bag mix. 5. Handrails shall be mounted on each side of stairway. Handrail shall extend 1’ past the stairs and have a return to the post or mounted to the ground. Handrail shall be between 34” and 38” to the top of the rail. Handrails must be made of welded aluminum or welded pipe with no obstructions such as fittings in the gripping area. Welded pipe must be powder coated with a silver or black finish. Pipe shall 1 5” or 2” in diameter. 6. All excavated material shall be disposed of at an approved site. All dirt work shall be restored to previous condition with seeding and straw to prevent erosion. 7. Contractor shall provide a drawing of completed project with the bid. 8. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment to perform said maintenance.
