Description | Discerption: The Scope of Work included Hangar I , which includes approximately 12,000 SF of hangar space, 6,000 SF of office space and 30,000 SF of aircraft apron. The Airport would like to upgrade the fire suppression system in Hangar 1, which was originally constructed in the i9501s, Refer to Appendix B &C for additional information and photos. The fee shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to the Town of Islip, No other forms of payment will be accepted. No hid will be accepted by email or facsimile. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Islip, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price, The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds for the full amount of the Contract. The Town may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected or no bids are received, the Department of Purchasing is authorized to re-advertise for bids. Bidders must be Ikensed by the State of New York. Bidders shall make a good faith effort to obtain Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation of eight and seventy-four hundredths percent (8,74%), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation of nine percent (9,0%), Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation of thirteen percent (13.0%) and Disadvantage Veteran Business (D D) participation of six percent (6_0%), of the dollar value of the Contract in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DBE Program, 49 C.F.F. 26, and the goals established by the Airport. The Town of Islip, in accordance with the provisions of Title V1 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Siat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations. hereby notifies all bidders or offerors thac tt will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and wal) not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
