Description | **As of July 6, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Update the building HVAC and EMS. Work includes installation of new WSHPs throughout the building, new pumps and heat exchangers connected to existing campus chilled and heated water piping, replacement of associated piping and ducts. New management system that reports to campus system. QUESTIONS A. Bidders shall submit questions about bidding documents to Designer in writing. Replies will be issued to Bidders of Record by addenda and will become part of Contract Documents. Designer and Owner will not make oral clarifications. B. Questions shall be received by Designer at least six calendar days before bid opening date. C. Normal practice is that no addenda affecting pricing will be issued less than three calendar days before bid opening date GENERAL 1.01 REQUIREMENTS A. Section includes identification of each Alternate by number, and describes the basic changes to be incorporated into the Work if a particular Alternate is made a part of the work by specific provisions in the Agreement between the Owner and the Contractor. B. Related sections are referenced in the definition of each Alternate. C. Coordination of related work and modifications to surrounding work as required to properly integrate each Alternate, and to provide the complete construction required by the Contract Documents, is the responsibility of the Contractor. 1.02 DESCRIPTION OF ALTERNATES Add Alternate 1: Provide and install additional WSHP units as indicated on plans. include all associated duct and pipe modifications necessary, controls and controls sequences, ceiling modifications, as well as any work required for installation design intent. Add Alternate 2: Remove all rooftop HVAC package units from roof. Fill opening with R38 batt insulation and cover opening air and water tight with sloped cover to prevent standing water on cover. Work should not require modifications to roof, but if modifications or repairs become necessary, roof work to be done in accordance with current roof warranty. Refer to drawings MD-1 and MD-2 for information. |
