Mid-Iowa Community Action Renovations

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Renovation of the existing building for use as office space and Head Start. Demolition of existing lean-to garage, roofing, windows, interior partitions & finishes, and mechanical, plumbing, & electrical systems. New work includes set & utility upgrades, roofing, EIFS, windows, storefront, interior finishes, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Alternates included a sprinkler system, photovoltaic collection system, and window shades. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of Contract amount, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bid security in the form of a bid bond shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Project cost range is anticipated to be under $2,200,000.00
