Description | The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Installation of six (6) new 40’ high poles starting at the dugout on the third base side, replacing the existing back stop poles and down just past the second set of bleachers on the first base side. The start and stop point of the new poles is indicated by red asterisk * on the marked up plans. Installation shall include new cabling, hardware and netting 2. Existing poles, netting, chain link fencing, concrete pole bases and hardware from the third base dugout to the backstop around to the first base dugout shall be demolished by this contractor. 3. Contractor shall install new 4’ high chain link fencing at the base of the backstop to match the existing fencing. Fencing shall by sturdy enough so the existing 4’ high padding at the Softball field can be reinstalled by the contractor. 4. The existing poles along the 3rd base line at the intersection point of the third base dugout where the new 40’ poles start shall remain. Contractor shall install new cabling, hardware and netting. 5. The new netting along the third base side shall have a large enough access opening for field prep equipment access (mowing, infield work, etc.). 6. This shall be a turnkey installation including all materials, delivery, labor, equipment, excavation, site work/restoration, concrete foundations, rebar, saw cutting, backfilling, etc. 7. This a design build project and contractor shall be responsible for submitting stamped engineered permit drawings to the DCA for review and approval prior to any work commencing. Engineering drawings and calculations shall be stamped by a registered NJ Professional Engineer. Drawings shall be designed to meet or exceed the appropriate codes of 155 mph Exposure C Category 2. Engineer shall also determine appropriate footing sizes and depths for the 40’ high pole installations. Contractor shall pay for all permit fees associated with the project. Contractor shall provide all permit documentation to Rowan prior to work commencing onsite and final permit acceptance documentation before final payments are made. 8. Rowan will be hiring a testing agency to manage 3rd party inspections for the project to ensure the design intent submitted as part of the engineered drawings is met. 9. Any work shown on the IFB drawings and specifications associated with the Baseball Field is not part of this project. |
