Air Handler Replacement Services

Q & A deadline: Apr 20, 2023 2:00:00 PM PT CalOptima owns a 4-story commercial office building located at 500 City Parkway West,,Orange, CA 92868 and is seeking pricing and services for the replacement of one (1) DX air handler by Air Dynamics Inc. CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor, tools, materials, parts, supplies, equipment and certifications incidental necessary to complete the replacement and installation of one (1) Dx air handlers with one (1) Tremptrol DX air handler or equal. CalOptima intends to select one (1) firm that best meets CalOptima's needs to perform the Services as described in this RFP. The Successful firm will be selected based on qualifications and demonstrated competence that include relevant experience with public agencies, including local agencies, and a proven track record of success for these types of services. 1. Project will be performed so that air conditioning services will not be interrupted during normal business hours M-F, 6am-6pm. 2. Base of bid: Replace large interior zone Air Handler. 3. Anchor new air handlers to the concrete pads providing any required modifications. 4. Replace minimum outside air damper with new damper and actuator and thermal dispersion air flow measuring station and transmitter. 5. Provide service to all other dampers that are not being replaced and repair to ensure they are in good working order. i. Replace all pneumatic damper actuators with electronic actuators, Belimo or equal. 6. Modify refrigerant piping system to serve air handler coils with multiple compressors. 7. Start-up and test equipment/system for proper operation and provide documentation. 8. Clean-up work area each day upon completion of work.
