Description

CITY OF BERKELEY LAKE BERKELEY LAKE, GA 2023 ARPA STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS City of Berkeley Lake (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: 2023 ARPA Stormwater Improvements The Project includes the following Work: The Project consists of stormwater drainage improvements, including stormwater system repairs, trenchless stormwater pipe repair, rip rap installation and maintenance, erosion/sediment control measures, shoulder grading, curb & gutter installation, asphalt paving, and labor and materials necessary to install the authorized work. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds either a Georgia State Contractor's License, Georgia State Utility Contractor's License, or qualifications with the Georgia Department of Transportation for similar work, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43 14 and 43-41. Failure to provide the bidder's license or qualification number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the base bid alone. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 90 calendar days. Owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor's Applications for Payment submitted once per month as provided in the General Conditions. Bidder must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses.
