Description | SCOPE OF WORK The pavement is coming apart at the Salisbury Flight Facility and is at the stage that it could cause serious injury to personnel and extensive damage to the aircraft engines and needs to be repaired ASAP. Specifications of Labor: 1. Locate & Pothole ยท Have private locating service mark underground utilities & designate depths. A. Pothole to determine actual depths of underground utilities. B. Up to 4 days of potholing included, if additional time is needed due to excessive amount of utilities present or hardness of material in place, additional time & fees may be required. 2. Full Depth Reclamation & Asphalt Paving 23,120.00 SY (Identified in GREEN on site plan) 3. Remove necessary material to accommodate 3" asphalt paving. A. Furnish and spread portland cement at 60 lbs./SY. B. Blend and hydrate portland cement to 12" depth. C. Compact, shape and rough grade blended material. D. Fine grade, wet & compact. E. Moist cure with water truck once per day. F. Furnish & install 1.5" S9.5C surface, tack coat, 1.5" S9.5C surface. Nuclear density gauge testing to be performed on asphalt during placement to ensure proper compaction densities are met. 4. Mill & Overlay Seal coated Concrete Pads 1,000.00 SY A. Mill concrete pads for 1.5" asphalt paving. B. Apply tack coat. C. Furnish & install 1.5" S9.5C surface course over concrete pads. 5. Pavement Markings A. Thermo Plastic shall be used for pavement markings to reproduce the existing layout. Specifications for Materials: 1. Asphalt mix for paving 2. Portland cement for FDR mix 3. Thermos plastic for pavement marking. General Specifications: 1. Contractor will provide one year warranty on all workmanship and standard warranty on material as per manufacture specification. 2. Job site to be kept clean and safe during process and inspected by unit personnel upon completion of work. Any scrap and left over material will be removed from the site. |
