Description | Project consists of repairing 42 City Sidewalk ADA ramps throughout the City. The successful bidder will be required to supply all labor, materials and equipment to perform the ADA ramp replacement according to the specified documents, construction locations, and details and as directed by the City Engineer including, but not limited to the following: 1. Removal and disposal of the existing ramps, 4,680 SQFT and unsuitable sub-base material as shown on the Contract Drawings and as directed by the City Engineer. 2. Excavate to new sub-grade, install and compact new sub-base material as shown on the Contract Drawings. 3. Replace the 42 illustrated ramps to meet or exceed PROWAG standards. See Ramp Detail Drawings for all specs. All ramps, and any new sidewalk blocks that extend off the ramp area are to be 5 foot x 5 foot blocks, and are to be a minimum depth of 6 inches thick 4. Remove a 20“ box elder tree from 803 Mill St. At all sites where a tree is removed; the stump shall be grinded out, to a minimum depth of 9 inches. The stump cavity shall be cleared of all woody material, backfilled with soil and seeded. This is to include a minimum of 6 inches of topsoil 5. If there is a Monument in the ramp area, that needs its elevation adjusted, the contractor is responsible for this work. The contractor is to have a licensed surveyor mark out the location before the old bronze is remover. Once the old bronze is removed the contractor is to install a new bronze with the cover and frame at the new elevation. See detail sheet for specifications. 6. Any trees within 25 feet of the work site must be protected as specified by the attached tree protection detail sheet. 7. Site restoration of soft surface and hard surface will be preformed where directed and as shown within the details. 8. Provide traffic control and daily maintenance of adjoining streets and areas. 9. Coordinate with the local utilities companies in conjunction with any relocation of existing facilities. |
