Ranch Creek Phase III Cut and Pile

Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) and the Escalante Ranger District, Dixie National Forest is requesting Services in this contract to provide up to 98 acres of Cut and pile type work: 1. Line Item 1 (H-26, H-29): 56.4 total acres. a. Cut and pile – Aspen. 2. Line item 2 (H-23): 9.2 acres. a. Cut and Pile – Pinyon/Juniper. 3. Line Item 3 (H-24, H-25): 32.4 acres. a. Cut and Pile – Ponderosa Pine. Work under this Contract is located within the Ranch Creek and Horse Creek subwatersheds on the east side of John’s Valley, northeast of Bryce Canyon City and southeast of Antimony in Garfield County, Utah. The legal locations of the treatment units are Township 33 South, Range 1 West, Sections 30, 31, Township 34 South, Range 1 West, Sections 6, 7 and Township 34 South, Range 2 West, Sections 1, 12. The work locations are shown on the attached vicinity and treatment unit maps. Elevations range from 7,780 feet to 8,900 feet within the project area.
