27th Street and 8th Avenue North West

As of June 20 20232, this project is in the design stage. A design engineer has been selected. Bidding is scheduled for sometime in 2024, not set date and time have been established yet. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference Reconstruction of 27th Street between highway1806 North and 8th Avenue NW as well as 8th Avenue NW between Old Red Trail and 27th Street NW. The project is also anticipated to include some storm sewer and watermain replacement. Sanitary sewer is not anticipated to be a major part of project scope, but should be assessed to identify any concerns along with the planning of the project. Other elements typically associated with an urban reconstruct project, such as; reconstruction and new construction of a multi-use trail, street lighting, striping and signage will also be part of the project scope. The proposal may include appendices for more robust or additional information such as resumes,references, past projects, etc. that support the firm's capability. The appendices will not be considered as part of the six(6) page proposal and is not limited. The City anticipates reviewing the proposals in late October. Following review of proposals, we anticipate interviewing selected firms by early November in route to City Commission consideration of our recommended firm within a regularly scheduled City Commission meeting soon after. During the RFP period, the City will accept questions in written form by emailing Justin Froseth at jfroseth@cityofmandan.com with the subject line including the text "27th Street and 8th Avenue Reconstruction". All questions will be posted anonymously and answered within the City's RFP section of the City website. Additionally, interested firms may request a half hour meeting with city engineering staff to ask questions about the project. Those questions are subject to posting on theCity website as well. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
