Description

East Shoreline Protection Repairs: 1. Repairs to approximately 980 linear feet of shoreline protection rip-rap from elevation +1.5 feet up to the top of the revetment slope. The work in this area includes the removal and disposal of all vegetation and other deleterious materials present within the work area. 2. The majority of the repairs (approximately 930 linear feet) consists of adding new armor stone to the revetment to restore the revetment section and slope. 3. At the south end of the repair area (approximately 50 linear feet), the existing riprap above elevation +1.5 feet shall be removed and stockpiled on site for re-use. New geotextile fabric shall be placed in this area and a combination of new riprap and existing rip-rap shall be installed to restore the revetment section and slope. 4. At the south end of the repair area where the existing retaining wall intersects with the perpendicular concrete wall running east-west the wall joint shall be repaired with the installation of a rubber flap to seal off the gap between the two wall sections. 5. At the existing concrete outfall, low strength concrete shall be placed beneath the concrete outfall structure to tie it into the rip-rap below it and rip-rap shall be placed around the outfall structure to restore the revetment section and slope.
