| Description | Performance Criteria Package (PCP) consists of the replacement by a trenchless method of approximately 150 LF of existing 8-inch Sanitary Sewer subaqueous crossing under the Sabal Lake Canal (Inverted Siphon) that connects the Bay Point Island sewer system with Pump Station 0021 sewer system. The work includes the following tasks: pipe installation; bypassing sanitary sewer flows, dewatering and interior cleaning of the pipe; pipe testing, furnishing all material, labor and equipment necessary for the replacement of the pipe with a material and methodology that will meet all hydraulic requirements as stated in this PCP; furnishing all material, labor and equipment necessary for the removal and replacement of varying lengths of the pipe; milling, asphalt pavement restoration, installing pavement markings, signing, and temporary and permanent pavement repairs; setting staging and working areas approved by the Home Owner's Association (HOA) of Bay Point, and any other appurtenant and miscellaneous items and work for a complete, functional and satisfactory installation. All work shall be done with minimal interruption to newly built PS 0021. It is the intent of the MDWASD to obtain a complete functional and satisfactory installation under this project, therefore, any items of labor, equipment or materials which may be reasonably assumed as necessary to accomplish this end shall be supplied whether or not they are specifically stated in this PCP. The Contractor shall provide all sheeting, shoring, bracing and all other labor, materials or equipment required to preclude damage to, or loss of functionality of, any existing adjacent facility or system. The project also includes providing Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans; providing off-duty police for traffic control as may be required by the Department or governing authorities; permanent pavement restoration and full width milling and asphalt overlay of existing roadways; and, replacing pavement markings. Ancillary work includes all permitting; dewatering; storm water pollution prevention; removing unsuitable soils and installing suitable backfill material where required; replacement of sod and shrubs, tree protection, trimming, root pruning; dewatering; site restoration; performing work with time and weather limitations and other appurtenant and miscellaneous items; and, all work necessary for a complete, fully functional and satisfactory installation. The project is located in Section 19, Township 53, Range 42, in Miami-Dade, Florida. | ||||
