North Shore Gravity Sewer Improvements Phase I

Procedures for submitting a Bid, claiming an error, withdrawing of Bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders. HRSD reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any informalities, or negotiate with the low bidder as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2, Chapter 43 and Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia is required. The Project or Work consists of furnishing and installing pipelines, associated appurtenances, and all associated work to accomplish this project. The project involves installation of 7 manholes, rehabilitation of 270 vertical feet of manholes and installation of various diameter gravity sewer pipe as follows: 15 linear feet of 12- inch, 1,280 linear feet of 15-inch, 3,370 linear feet of 18-inch, 30 linear feet of 20-inch and 1,690 linear feet of 24-inch diameter gravity sewer pipe. This project will also include sewer lateral installations and wet well connections. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall be submitted electronically with each Bid. This project is being funded in part under the Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund (VCWRLF). Bidders shall comply with the Presidents Executive Order No. 11246 (Prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex or national origin), No. 12138 and No. 11625 (Regarding MBE/WBE utilization). Bidders shall also comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on basis of race, color, creed or national origin.
