Description | Final Questions Due: July 29, 2022 @ 9:00 AM MT - See Section 1, C Answers via Addendum Issued: August 2, 2022 @ 9:00 AM MT - See Section 1, C All questions related to this solicitation must be received in writing by procurement no later than July 29, 2022, at 9:00 am MT and will be answered, via addendum by August 2, 2022, at 9:00 am MT. SPECIFICATIONS / SCOPE OF WORK The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is soliciting bids for tile & mortar removal, seal coating and polishing of existing concrete floors in hallways and lobbies and carpet replacement in twenty (20) offices at our Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ). Specific work to be completed is below. Scope: This Scope of Work describes the responsibilities of the Contractor and the Department in connection with the proposed work. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, services, equipment, tools, supplies, permanent materials, temporary materials, and efforts necessary to complete the project. Contractor responsibilities to include but not limited to the following: 1. Supply all labor, materials and equipment needed to complete the project. 2. Remove tiles & mortar as needed in lobby area. 3. Remove carpet, baseboard and adhesive as needed. 4. Contractor is responsible for maintaining a secure and safe work area, as well as repair or replacement of any damaged items that occur during the execution of work and the final cleanup and removal of all construction debris. 5. All work to be completed per current State of Colorado accepted codes. Concrete Polishing Specifications: Remove Tiles & Mortar: Once tiles/grout are removal grind concrete floor to remove any existing mortar/adhesive. Repair any damage to walls from tile removal. Contractor is responsible for protection of areas surrounding work and property. Remove Carpet & Baseboards: Remove all carpet and baseboard. Apply adhesive removal and grind to ensure clean surface. Damaged Area: Repair/fill cracks if needed add or fill additional material to match surrounding area. Crack Sealing: Cracks shall be fill & sealed. When repairing cracks, care must be taken to fill the entire crack and level any affected area to ensure a smooth and level surface. Concrete Polishing: - Grind the floor with 30, 70 grit metal diamonds - Grind and hone the floor with 120 grit metal diamonds - Hone the floor with 100, 200, and 400 grit resin diamonds - Apply stain. Proposed stain color to be approved by the DMVA Project Manager prior to installation. - Apply silicate-based hardeners - Polish floors with 800 and 1800 grit diamonds - Apply penetrating "Guard" sealer - Burnish floors with 3000-grit diamonds and buff pad |
