Pedestrian Plaza Phase 3 Joyner to Eakin

Project Summary: This project will continue the 18' wide vehicle-rated brick paver shared-use path from Joyner Library to Eakin Student Recreation Center, adjacent plaza improvements, secondary walks, planting, irrigation, site lighting, and associated stormwater infrastructure and utility adjustments. Bids will be received for Contract type - Single Prime. All proposals shall be lump sum The project consists of the of the final phase of implementation of the ECU Main Campus shared use path. The existing path begins at the Bate, Graham and Flanagan Buildings and continues to the north face of the Joyner Library/Sonic Plaza. This project will continue the path from Joyner Library/Sonic Plaza to the terminus at Eakin Student Recreation Center. Improvements include the continuation of the 18' wide vehicle-rated brick paver shared-use path, modifications to parking on Cupula Court, an extension of Joyer Plaza, improvements to the Old Cafeteria south entrance, modifications to the Mendenhall northeast entrance, secondary pathways, planting, irrigation, site lighting, and associated stormwater infrastructure and utility adjustments.
