Description | As of October 12, 2022, construction is underway. No further inquiries to be accepted. Temporary Infrastructure for Portable Buildings and Demolition of the Science Wing at Tennyson Middle School The project consists of providing a temporary 1200 AMP electrical service and all the necessary infrastructure to support (10) portable classroom buildings an (1) portable bathroom building. The demolition of the Science wing and the removal of outdoor HVAC units serving that area to be demolish. The Contingency for this project is $ 50,000.00. The liquidated damages for this project are $500.00 per day.. A contract entered into as a result of an award by the District under this Solicitation must be available to begin providing goods and/or services starting on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, and continue to be valid until completion of this project on Friday, August 12, 2022. These dates are subject to change Last Date for Questions Wednesday, June 1, 2022 @ 2:00 P. M. CST . Questions should be directed in writing through the online question portal. Answers will be posted on the same site, allowing all participants to view. Addendum Issued to Address Questions Friday, June 3, 2022 @ 4:00 P.M. CST Anticipated Substantial Completion Date Friday, August 12, 2022 (subject to change) Bonding: A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the greatest amount bid must accompany the bid submittal documents, either in the form of a bid bond or a Certified Check. A Payment Bond shall be required on individual projects of $25,000.00 and Performance Bonds are required of contract in excess of $100,000 or more. The Successful Bidder must furnish acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds from an approved Surety Company, authorized to do business in Texas and in accordance to Texas Government Code 2253.021 (a through g). Original Bonds will be due within 10 days after the Notice of Award. The District shall have the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, and to waive any technicalities in the best interest of the District. It is the intent of the District to award a Contract to the lowest responsible Bidder provided the Bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Bid Documents and provided that vendor has been determined to be the best value to the district. Price alone is not the determining factor in awarding bids. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let. |
