Description | Location: Whippoorwill Park, 1632 Rowemont Drive, Durham, NC 27705 Cook Road Park, 602 Cook Road, Durham, NC 27707 Provide all labor, materials and equipment to perform the work described below at each site. Water and electricity are available at both sites. • Thoroughly pressure-wash entire court surface, cleaning surface and cracks of all dirt, vegetation and other debris, taking care that the tennis court surface integrity is not compromised. Pressure-washing should be performed within 2 weeks of crack repair. • Turnkey repair of approximately 1,600 linear feet of major cracks, “alligator” cracks and cracks around all net posts of the eight (8) tennis courts of Whippoorwill Park. Contractor to field verify measurements prior to bid. • Patch major structural cracks with acrylic patching material. • Overlay all cracks except “alligator” cracks with the RiteWay Crack Repair System (or a substitute system that is pre-approved by DPR). • Overlay “alligator” cracked areas with fiberglass membrane. • Apply two (2) coats of acrylic resurfacer (Laykold NuSurf or equivalent) according to manufacturer’s directions over all patched areas. • Apply one (1) sand-filled coat and one (1) finish coat of color (Laykold Colorcoat or equivalent – Dark Blue/Medium Green) over patched areas. • Touch up playing lines as needed with White color. • Rehang existing tennis net • Thoroughly pressure-wash entire court surface, cleaning surface and cracks of all dirt, vegetation and other debris, taking care that the tennis court surface integrity is not compromised. • Remove the net post that is out of plumb and reset the post with concrete without disturbing the existing tennis court integrity. • Rehang the existing tennis court net. Contractor must clean up work areas of both parks and dispose of all debris so that tennis courts are ready for play. Contractor must hold a Certified Tennis Court Builder (CTCB) certification by the American Sports Builders Association and provide three (3) references of similar recent tennis court repair work. |
