Description

Install temporary ultraviolet disinfection rental unit and associated piping and electrical work to bypass existing ultraviolet disinfection channel and construct a meter vault for a new 18" effluent flow meter. b.Replace existing two-bank horizontal lamp ultraviolet disinfection equipment with a new 24 kVA, three-bank, system and rehabilitate channel structure. c. Construct a 1,240 sf. by 23' high concrete elevated Entrance Works Structure equipped with cylindrical fine screen, Parshall flume and flow splitter box. d. Construct Main Plant Structure No. 2 and associated facilities. The structure is approximately 125' in diameter x 26' high open top concrete tank whose slab is approximately 12' below ground. The tank is configured in eleven basins with treatment equipment and piping to provide wastewater aeration, mixing, sludge holding and clarification. Construct overhead pipe bridge structure from Entrance Works to Main Plant Structure No. 2 and overhead air piping from Process Building to Main Plant Structure No. 2. e. Construct Process / Blower / Electrical Building. The building is a pre-engineered metal building approximately 75' L x 50' W x 18' H and divided into three rooms that contain a wash water pump system, three 100 HP blowers, and an electrical distribution and control center. f. Demolish nine existing sand sludge drying beds and replace with four new paved sludge drying beds totaling 26,700 sf. and constructed with concrete walls and trench drains. g. Construct Administration-Laboratory Building: The building is a pre-engineered metal building approximately 76' L x 42' W x 14' H and divided into a Laboratory, Training Room, Offices, Bathroom / Showers / Laundry, and furnishings. h. Construct new yard piping and connect to existing yard piping throughout the plant site. i. Construct a vault for a new 8" sludge flow meter. j. Construct a vault for a new wash water strainer. k. Construct an approximately 55' long overhead pipe bridge structure from the Entrance Works to Main Plant Structure No. 2. l. Install new cover on Plant Drain Lift Station Valve Pit. m. Install electrical service feed, electrical site work and an on-site 50 kW diesel engine generator system. n. Install electrical, instrumentation, controls, and supervisory control and data acquisition to serve base bid equipment throughout the plant. o. Install plant wide instrumentation, integration, and controls, including programming. p. Construct site work throughout the plant, exclusive of asphalt road pavement. 2. Schedule of Additive Alternates (AA) (Owner will determine which alternates, if any, will be awarded. Refer to Section 01 23 00 Alternates.): a. AA-1 Elevated Entrance Works: Install grit removal system equipment and piping, which includes the vortex grit removal chamber, grit pump, and grit classifier / washer. b.AA-2 Main Plant Structure No. 1.: Drain and clean basins, remove existing equipment and rehabilitate structure. c.AA-3 Main Plant Structure No. 1.: Construct improvements to structure, piping, equipment, and metal work. Construct overhead pipe bridge structure from Entrance Works to Main Plant Structure No. 1 and overhead air piping from Process Building to Main Plant Structure No. 1. d.AA-4 Process / Blower / Electrical Building: Install Blower No. 4. e. AA-5 Process / Blower / Electrical Building: Install Blower No. 5. f.AA-6 Process / Blower / Electrical Building: Install Sludge Feed Pumps and piping. g.AA-7 Effluent Pump Station: Install two 85 HP Effluent Pumps. h.AA-8 Effluent Pump Station: Install two 250 HP Effluent Pumps. i. AA-9 Solids Handling Building: 1)Remove and salvage existing belt filter press and conveyor equipment. 2)Demolish existing metal building and piping. 3)Construct new pre-engineered metal building approximately 30` L x 30` W x 16` H and foundations. 4)Install new 17` long dewatering screw press, polymer feed equipment and associated piping, plumbing and electrical. j. AA-10 Construct Warehouse Building: The building is a pre-engineered metal building approximately 100` L x 62` W x 22` H that abuts the Administration- Laboratory Building. It contains two drive-thru bays, one 3-ton monorail crane, and a tool cage. k. AA-11 Add asphalt road pavement to Base Bid Sitework.
